If you live somewhere like I do, where the winter is cold and rainy, and just not nice, keep reading. Summer is almost here, and it is time to get in the Summer mood. Here a just a few steps to get into a perfect summer attitude to prepare you for the warm season.
Step 1: Listen to beachy music. If you are a person who likes to listen to beachy music; like songs with ukulele, or are about the beach; then you are covered. But a few song suggestions are: Island in the Sun by Weezer; Sound of Sunshine by Michael Franti; Paradise by Coldplay; Miles Away by Years Around the Sun (the acoustic version).
Step 2: Bring out all of your Spring/Summer clothes. If it is warm enough, pack up your long sleeves (keep a few) and pants and dig out the shorts and tank tops. This will get you in the mood because these will be the clothes you will wear in the Summer.
Step 3: Look at pictures of the beach. If you are planning on going to the beach a lot in the Summer, get excited by looking at pictures of the ocean and reminding yourself how fun it is. Also, bring yourself back to the fun times on the beach to get you pumped for another season of more fun times.
Step 4: Plan activities. Are you planning on trying to learn how to surf, stand up paddle, play volley ball, or go kayaking? Start planning lessons or get-together’s with your friends so you have something to look forward to.
Step 5: Exercise. If you have the great summer body, the only thing left to worry about is choosing the bikini.
Step 6: Have lots of fruit. Summer is when fruits are at their peak, and are the most juiciest. Even if it isn’t Summer yet, eat lots of fruit to keep your body healthy and taste the sweet bliss.
Last Step!: Have fun. Don’t rush Spring so you can get to Summer. Take your time and embrace the moments leading up to it so you can be prepared for Summer. It might even feel like it will last longer. Have fun while you can.
